INTRODUCTION

Industrial Training Institutes & “Industrial Training Centers” are training institute which provide training in technical field and constituted under Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Union Government of India.

Normally a person who has passed 10 standard (SSLC) is eligible for admission to ITI. The objective of opening of ITI is provide technical manpower to industries. These persons are trained in basic skills required to do jobs of say operator or a craftsman. The course in ITI is designed in way to impart basic skill in the trade specified. The duration of course may vary from one year to three years depending upon trade opted. After completion of desired period of training the person is eligible to appear in the AITT ( All India Trade Test ) conducted by NCVT( National Council for Vocational training ).

PUNIT PVT. ITI, Bhilwara imparts Industrial training to rural and urban area students. Training is imparted on NCVT approved courses under this scheme. The aim of this venture is to achieve \ impart vocational training, technical and industrial know how, so that one can start self-employment and become efficient in generating Industrial production.

The candidate after this training can successfully search employment. This training involves labour during training and after training. Self-employment or private work or government work can be done by the candidate. The candidate should decide thoroughly before taking admission that he is willing to take training and become medium of his own income.

Opportunities after ITI

People of engineering trade can go for higher studies like diploma in engineering. There are also specialised short term courses in Advanced Training Institute (ATI) which enhances the skills of candidates. ITI qualified persons can set up their own garage, motor/generator/transformer winding shops or fabrication shops depending upon trade opted. Also candidates can apply for jobs in private sector and public sectors. Government organisations like Indian Army, Navy, Airforce and also paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF provide opportunities for ITI passed candidates of different trades.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL

10th class with specific training in the trade. Should have the knowledge of the electrical circuit, direct and alternative current, Indian Electricity Act and various rules framed by particular State. Knowledge of safety, precautions and measures. Further, trained electrician can get himself registered as Licensed Electrician with.
